Job Description

Salary Range: • Salary expectations would typically be between RM 6,000 to RM 9,000 per month • Depending on qualifications, experience, and the complexity of the role. • The candidate should be capable of contributing to the company’s long-term financial strategy. • Experience in cost management and improving financial efficiency is highly valued. • Ability to work closely with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax agent, and bank. Academic Qualifications: • Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance holder from a recognized university. Work Experience: • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting and Financial Management. • Industry-specific experience: Experience in the company’s industry (e.g. Manufacturing, services, trading) is often preferred. • Leadership and Management. The candidate should have experience managing a team as they will oversee the finance and accounting department. Technical Skills: • Accounting Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software such as • Financial Reporting: Capable in preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS). • Taxation Knowledge: Understanding of Malaysian Taz Laws, including Corporate Tax, GST/SST, E-Invoicing and Withholding Tax. • Audit Experience: Experience with internal and external audits is often required. Soft Skills: • Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead and manage a small team of accountants or finance staff. • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights. • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders, including the company’s management and board of directors. • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in financial reporting and compliance. Legal And Regulatory Knowledge • Companies Act 2016: Familiarity with Malaysian Corporate Laws and regulations. • Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) Guidelines: If The company operates in a regulated industry (e.g., finance trading), knowledge of BNM regulations may be required. • Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Compliance: Understanding of AML laws and compliance requirements. Language Proficiency: • English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin: Proficiency in these languages is often required for communication and documentation purposes. • Knowledge of other dialects may be an advantage.
