Sg Wang, KL Gender • Open to Male & Female candidates Salary • Based on qualifications and experience Requirements • Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field. • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in interior design, preferably within the fashion retail, lifestyle retail, or multi-outlet environment. • Experience in retail store design, mall fit-out and store roll-out projects will be highly advantageous. • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator or other relevant design software. • Strong experience in preparing technical, construction, detailed and shop drawings. • Good understanding of retail space planning, customer traffic flow, product display and visual merchandising principles. • Strong understanding of materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, lighting and retail construction. • Creative with a strong design sense, aesthetic awareness and attention to detail. • Able to translate brand concepts and creative ideas into practical, functional and commercially viable retail spaces. • Strong project coordination, problem-solving and communication skills. • Able to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. • Comfortable communicating and coordinating with landlords, mall management, contractors, suppliers and internal departments. • Self-motivated, proactive, responsible and able to work independently. • Good command of Mandarin, Malay, English would be an added advantage. • Willing to travel for site visits, inspections, project coordination and store openings when required. Roles & Responsibilities • Develop and execute interior design concepts for fashion retail stores, including new store openings, renovations, refurbishments and store roll-outs. • Prepare floor plans, layouts, elevations, detailed drawings, construction drawings and 3D visualisations using AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max and other relevant design software. • Develop store layouts that optimise customer traffic flow, product display, space utilisation and overall shopping experience. • Design and coordinate key retail areas including sales floor, fitting rooms, cashier counters, display areas, stockrooms and back-of-house spaces. • Work closely with the Visual Merchandising, Retail Operations, Marketing and Project Teams to ensure the store design reflects the brand image and commercial requirements. • Select and recommend appropriate materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, lighting and fittings in line with brand standards and project budgets. • Prepare mood boards, material boards, design proposals, 3D renderings and presentations for management approval. • Liaise with landlords, mall management, architects, contractors, suppliers and vendors regarding design, fit-out guidelines, technical requirements and project coordination. • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction and ensure the design is implemented according to approved drawings and specifications. • Coordinate with contractors and project teams to resolve design, technical and site-related issues promptly. • Review shop drawings, material samples and technical details submitted by contractors and suppliers. • Ensure all store projects comply with mall/landlord requirements, local regulations, safety requirements and company design standards. • Monitor project timelines, costs, materials and workmanship to ensure projects are delivered within the agreed schedule and budget. • Support multiple store projects simultaneously, including new outlets, renovations and refurbishment projects. • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of furniture, fixtures, signage and other store-related items. • Support the Project Team during site handover, final inspection, defect rectification and store opening. • Maintain and update retail design guidelines, standard drawings, specifications and design templates. • Provide guidance and support to Junior Designers on drawings, design development and project-related matters. • Perform other design and project-related duties as assigned by management.
