Responsibilities • Assisting Purchasing Manager in the operations of Purchasing Department. • Responsible to review, check and execute the orders to supplier for purchase of materials/items from local and oversea sources. • Monitoring, sourcing of materials/items in term of pricing, quality, and service from local and oversea sources. • Responsible for sourcing, selection, and evaluation of existing and new suppliers. • Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities. • Review stock purchase by monitoring market conditions, current stock levels, and lead time required for manufacturing, potential price increase, anticipation of new order from Planning Dept and supplier conditions. • Pursue cost reduction activities. • Work closely with internal departments and an external supplier on purchased items/engaged services. • Distribute external documents to relevant department. • Ensure all purchase is approved within company guidelines. • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses. • Practicing and implementing purchasing activities according to HACCP, ISO22000 & Halal requirements. • To undertake other related jobs requested by superior from time to time. • Assist on ad-hoc assignments and any other related tasks when assigned. Requirements • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in business, marketing, or related field. • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English etc. • At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in related field. • Good interpersonal and communication skills. • Results oriented, self-driven and a good team player. • Able to multitask. • Proficient in excel.
